The following list includes some of my favorite equipment and what I use in my own kitchen. If you’re purchasing cookware, bakeware or small appliances for the first time or simply updating your equipment consider the items listed here.
Nut Milk Bag – a simple and effective tool for straining alternative milks, reusable bag, two sizes
Yogurt Maker – this yogurt maker is easy to use and has an automatic shutoff
Instant-Read Thermometer – an essential tool for baking gluten-free breads and temping meats
Blenders
Vitamix – Outstanding blender expensive but worth it
Oster Beehive – affordable and a very good powerful basic blender. Note: To reduce motor noise wrap a kitchen towel around the base.
Spring Form Pan 9-inch – basic non-stick pan
GreenPan Cookware – Produced without PFOA (perfluorooctanoic acid), PTFE (polytetraflourethylene), or silicone oil. Also suitable for induction cooktops. I’m very happy with this non-stick line of products and makes steam sautéing and cleanup a snap.
8-inch Fry pan
12-inch skillet
12-inch wok with lid
Rimmed Cookie Sheet
Loaf Pan
Pie Pan
Pizza Pan
Calphalon Tri-Ply Stainless Steel 13-Piece Cookware Set – well made, even heat distribution and it is also suitable for induction cooktops.
Ice Cream Makers –
Donvier – manual 1 quart
Cuisinart – automatic 2-quart
Cookie Sheets – for no-burn cookies, I highly recommend these basic Insulated cookie sheets. They are however made from aluminum so be sure to line them with parchment paper.
